Who said engineering can’t be fun!
The world’s first inland Surfing Centre has been built in the rural Conwy valley in Snowdonia, North Wales, on the concrete covered site of a disused aluminium factory. The guaranteed waves, whatever the weather, will make the sport more accessible to people of all abilities, including beginners who can learn the sport on the smaller waves at each end of the new lagoon. The project has even caught the interest of the International Surfing Association based in California because the regular sized waves could open up the door to surfing becoming an Olympic sport!
First indoor snow boarding & skiing and now inland surfing – whats next ?
Engineering again raising the bar of civilisation

Next edition, a picture of Flywheel’s author surfing?
Loved the Shakespeare quote.
Have you ever asked if any of your readers have come across quotes they’d like to share?
There’s one in Joburg airport, an African proverb, says ‘If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together” http://relationshipmodel.com/2013/10/african-proverb/

I used to surf badly in Woolacombe UK and later in Hawaii on boogie boards – recently in South Wales surfed (badly) with my teenage kids – lots of upside washing machine moments !
